Call for Research Groups

Munich Aerospace fosters interdisciplinary exchange and connects research across institutional boundaries. The establishment of research groups is a key instrument in achieving this. We are delighted to begin the formation of new research groups.

Are you a researcher at one of our member institutions with a project, which you’d like to pursue in collaboration with a partner at another member institution? It so, now is the right time to apply to establish a Munich Aerospace research group.

The research groups of Munich Aerospace bring together the expertise of its four members – Technical University of Munich, the University of the Bundeswehr Munich, the German Aerospace Center (DLR; participating sites: Oberpfaffenhofen, Weilheim, and Augsburg), and Bauhaus Luftfahrt – along the key future topics of aerospace. Interdisciplinary in nature and led with scientific excellence, they connect research across institutional boundaries and bridge the gap between fundamental research and practical application. More details about the current call for proposals can be found here.

The research groups of Munich Aerospace foster exchange between academia and industry and support the development of joint research projects. More information is available here.

Each research group must involve at least two Munich Aerospace member institutions and may actively involve Munich Aerospace doctoral candidates.
