TUM Department of Aerospace and Geodesy moves to Ludwig Bölkow Campus

4 February 2019 - The office of the newly constituted TUM Department of Aerospace and Geodesy has moved to Ludwig Bölkow Campus in Taufkirchen/Ottobrunn. In establishing this representation office, the Technical University of Munich promotes the development of a European research and academic training centre in close proximity to companies like Airbus and IABG in the south of Munich.
This new hub, headed by Dr.-Ing. Michael Klimke, will bundle around 50 percent of Germany’s total academic research activity in the aerospace and aeronautics sectors. To achieve this, the new department is harnessing TUM’s long-standing expertise in engineering and natural sciences, creating 30 new professorships, and tapping into strategic collaboration with businesses and research institutions in the greater Munich area.
