In recent years, the rapid evolution of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has created new security challenges across both military and civilian sectors. This presentation explores the full spectrum of modern drone defense—from early detection to effective neutralization. It examines current technological limitations, such as sensor range, identification accuracy, and electronic countermeasure reliability, while also addressing the organizational and legal frameworks shaping their deployment. Through case studies and recent research, we highlight how multidisciplinary approaches combining radar, AI-based analytics, and kinetic or non-kinetic countermeasures are redefining the field. The presentation also looks ahead to future developments, including autonomous defense networks, machine learning-driven threat prediction, and evolving regulatory standards. Ultimately, it offers a strategic outlook on how nations and industries can enhance resilience against a rapidly expanding aerial threat landscape.
