Leitthemen

Munich Aerospace hat vier zukunftsweisende Leitthemen definiert. Sie verankern die regionalen Kernkompetenzen und bieten Orientierung darüber, wie Bayern seine Forschung und Innovation erfolgreich gestalten kann. Dazu fördert Munich Aerospace Forschungsvorhaben seiner vier Mitglieder Technische Universität München, Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt in Oberpfaffenhofen, Universität der Bundeswehr München und Bauhaus Luftfahrt. Um den Technologietransfer zu beschleunigen, sind Unternehmen dazu eingeladen, sich an den Forschungsgruppen von Munich Aerospace zu beteiligen oder eigene Forschungsprojekte anzustoßen.

Space for Earth

This pillar focuses on using space technologies – like satellites and remote sensing – to better understand and protect our planet. Applications include climate monitoring, natural disaster prediction, and sustainable resource management.

Moving People and Goods

Research here aims to develop safe, efficient, and sustainable air and space transportation systems. It includes advancements in autonomous flight, urban air mobility, and green propulsion technologies.

Secure Society

Research leveraging aerospace technologies to enhance security and resilience as well as strengthen sovereignty in critical infrastructures and similar domains. This includes cybersecurity and resilience aspects, surveillance and situational-awareness, as well as emergency response systems. It supports both civil protection and national defence initiatives.

Information for Citizens

This pillar promotes access to aerospace-derived data and services that empower the public. It covers digital platforms, communications, navigation and timing systems, and further tools that enhance transparency, awareness, and everyday usability.
