The Research Network for Bavaria’s Aerospace Sector
Munich Aerospace connects science and talent as well as industry and policy to strategically advance aerospace in Bavaria and strengthen it as an international hub of innovation. This is achieved through cross-institutional projects, networking events, scholarship programs, research groups, and international collaboration.
Backed by four leading partners – the Technical University of Munich (TUM), the Bundeswehr University Munich (UniBw M), the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and Bauhaus Luftfahrt (BHL) – we have been bringing together research, development and education under one roof since 2010. With the support of the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, we promote innovation, technology transfer and sustainable value creation.
Our work is built on five key pillars.
- Building knowledge – through pioneering research fields and interdisciplinary topics of societal relevance.
- Transferring knowledge– through cooperation between research, industry and public partners.
- Connecting actors – through a strong network of scientific and technological expertise in Bavaria and beyond.
- Nuturing talent – through scholarships, the Munich Aerospace Graduate School, and hands-on educational programs.
- Creating opportunities– through international collaboration and events such as the Forum Munich Aerospace, the Global Aerospace Campus, and the Munich Space Summit
