The Munich Aerospace scholarship is aimed at university graduates who wish to pursue a doctorate related to aerospace at the Technical University of Munich or the University of the Bundeswehr Munich. Interested students must meet the following requirements:
- Completed university degree (Master’s, or equivalent university degree) in a field relevant to aerospace with a final grade of ‘good’ or better
- Fulfilment of the requirements for admission to a doctoral program at the respective doctoral university (TUM or UniBwM)
- No more than three years may have elapsed between the date of issue of the university degree certificate and the application for the scholarship
The scholarship amounts to €25,000 per year and consists of a monthly payment of €1,800 plus an additional €3,400 per year for research costs. This amount is tax-free in accordance with Section 3 No. 44 of the German Income Tax Act (EStG) and is granted for a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 3 years. An extension of the scholarship is not intended.
