New member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Munich Aerospace

We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Reh as a new member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Munich Aerospace. With his rich, international experience in industry and research, Mr. Reh is a valuable asset to Munich Aerospace’s position at the science-industry interface.

Prof. Dr. Stefan Reh has been the founding director of the DLR Institute of Test and Simulation for Gas Turbines (Augsburg) since 2017 and has been a professor of “Materials and Processes for Engine Turbines” at RWTH Aachen University since 2007. Previously, Mr. Reh worked as a group and project manager at ABB Kraftwerke AG (Baden, Switzerland; now ALSTOM Power), at ANSYS Inc. (Pittsburgh, USA), and held a teaching position at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA). In 2005, he returned to Germany as a professor for “Computer Science, Calculation and Design” at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. Mr. Reh takes active roles as an advisor and at scientific conferences (e.g. on the Structural Review of the TP400 engine and on the Materials, Manufacturing and Structures Advisory Board Rolls-Royce, Derby, UK; session chairman and keynote lecturer at the European Congress on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences and Engineering, ECCOMAS”). In 2006, he received the Innovations and Contributions Award from the NASA Research Center (Cleveland, Ohio).
